What we set,and only if you agree.
Analytics and advertising cookies load on this site — but not until you say yes. Refusing is one click and costs you nothing.
Last updated · 20 August 2026
The short version
When you first arrive, nothing third-party has loaded. A banner asks what you are willing to allow. Until you answer, no request is made to Google, Microsoft or Meta at all — the scripts are left out of the page rather than loaded and told to behave. If you refuse, they are never added.
You can change your mind at any time: .
Strictly necessary
These are the only cookies that do not ask permission, because the site cannot work without them and they never track you between sites.
- yo_consent — remembers the choice you made on the banner, so you are not asked again on every page. Kept for 180 days. Refusing everything still sets this one, because we have to remember that you refused.
- Admin session and layout — set only inside
/admin, after a member of our staff signs in. Never set for a visitor.
Analytics — only with your consent
Turned off by default. Tells us which pages are worth writing more of.
| Who | What it does | Cookies | Kept for | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Counts visits and shows which pages and services people actually read, so we know what to write more of. | _ga, _ga_<id> | Up to 2 years | United States and other Google data centres |
| Microsoft Clarity | Heatmaps and session replay — where people click and where they give up on a page. Typing in form fields is masked. | _clck, _clsk, CLID, ANONCHK, MR, MUID, SM | Up to 1 year | United States |
Advertising — only with your consent
Turned off by default. Measures which adverts led to an enquiry, and allows us to show adverts to people who visited without getting in touch.
| Who | What it does | Cookies | Kept for | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel | Measures which adverts led to an enquiry, and lets us show adverts to people who visited but did not get in touch. | _fbp, fr | Up to 3 months (_fbp), 90 days (fr) | United States and other Meta data centres |
The categories on the banner
- Strictly necessary — Remembers this choice, and keeps our staff signed in to the admin area. Never used to track you and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Tells us which pages are read and where people get stuck.
- Advertising — Meta Pixel. Measures which adverts brought you here and lets us show you ours again elsewhere.
What happens when you refuse
Nothing about the site changes. Every page, form and phone number works identically. We simply learn less about how the site is used, which is our problem rather than yours.
Turning it off later
Use — the same control appears in the footer of every page. Switching a category off takes effect immediately: the page reloads without those scripts. You can also clear cookies in your browser, or use its “Do Not Track” and blocking features; we do not try to work around them.
